Front Page

This is the Front Page of EnCompass which you will see when first logging into the program.

In the top left corner you will see the integrated panic button.

On the left you will see the main menu which is always on display, this menu gives quick access to your message book, diary, tasks and visit book.

The Front Page also features links to useful tools and add-ins, a practice configurable scrolling message and links set up by the practice to websites, documents and macros.

Write Message

This is an example of a message written about a patient to a doctor, ready to send.

The patient details such as address, date of birth etc are automatically entered on selecting a patient.

EnCompass is fully integrated with your clinical system and so provides an up-to-date patient database.

Your message can be sent to an individual or groups of people.

A document can be linked to the message.

There are lots of functions designed to save time such as default subjects and automatic messages which are activated by a set keyword.

Message Book

This is how your message book may look.

Colourful icons are used to clearly indicate the status of a message.

The right hand side of the page is used to display a selected class and all members of that class who are currently logged into EnCompass or those who have outstanding messages.

Reading a Message

When a message is opened, details are displayed above as to who sent the message and at exactly what time and date. It will also show if the message was sent to other recipients.

If the message is related to a patient, their personal details are also displayed with options to open their record within your clinical system and copy the message into their notes.

Beneath the message are several functions for dealing with your message.

There is a clear audit trail for every message which can be accessed easily by any user at any time. Details include exactly who has viewed the message and anything that has happened to that message.

Tasks

Tasks are documents that can be scanned or imported into EnCompass (Fusion is the scanning and document management package that we offer as an add-in the Encompass).

As with messages there is a very clear audit trail for tasks.

Workflow system - On the right of the page there are practice configurable buttons which enable the user to send this document and related tasks quickly and simply to other users.

Annotation can be added to the document simply, for example you can highlight a passage of text or add a post it note to the document.

Pop-up Messaging

Encompass also gives the user the ability to send simple pop-up messages to an individual or groups.

These are designed to open immediately for the recipient and can be quickly and simply dealt with.

As with messages, pop-ups are not deleted and therefore can be traced at a later date but they do not have an audit trail.

Staff Locations

Staff Locations is a function available from the Front Page of EnCompass.

It displays all the users that belong to your EnCompass system, a colour key will indicate their status.

Staff Locations demostrates how users are divided into different classes, these are configured by your practice to be suitable to the way you work.

If you hover your cursor over the binoculars icon, a tooltip will appear telling you where the user is located and their nearest telephone ext. number.

If you click on a name, another window opens providing further personal details that the user has chosen to enter such as home telephone number or car registration. There are also quick links from this window to send the user a message or pop-up message.
